The Veterans Administration is expanding community-based efforts through rural Veteran-to-Veteran approaches through the Together With Veterans program, partnering with VA’s Office of Rural Health program to focus on building partnerships with rural Veterans and their communities to implement community-based suicide prevention.
Together With Veterans (TWV), an evidence-based Veteran suicide prevention program, is a partnership with the US Department of Veterans Affairs' Rocky Mountain Mental Illness Research, Education and Clinical Center (MIRECC), the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education Behavioral Health Program (WICHE BHP) and local organizations run by or serving Veterans.
